Helén Krantz

Helén Krantz, born 1953, was one of the talented designers that joined Orrefors in the 1980's with the group of other gifted designers and have helped to propel Orrefors design heritage into the future. Helén Krantz is designer at Orrefors glassworks since 1988. In her art glass she has used several of the classic Orrefors techniques, including graal technique, for moving, abstract vegetative patterns on often powerful bowl and vase shapes. Krantz has also made personal and innovative efforts in the field of centrifuged glass and made expressive, painted decorations on large vases and jugs.
